Juan C. Icaza - Doctoral Student

Joined Lamar University in 2014 to pursue D.E. in Mechanical Engineering. Working as a research assistant under Dr. Ramesh K. Guduru since spring 2015. My area of research focuses on the development of new energy storage devices with particular focus on the use of multivalent ions for supercapacitors.

Vijaya Krishna Teja Bangi - Master's Student

Joined Lamar University in Spring 2015 to pursue Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Currently working with Dr.Guduru for my thesis as a research student. My area of research is to investigate the feasibility of generating electricity using micro wind turbines fixed on a car while evaluating the effect of drag force on the performance through the experimental and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) approaches.

Yogendra Chaudhary - Master's Student

Joined Lamar University in Fall 2015. Pursuing Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Working with Dr.Guduru as a research student. My area of research is generation of electricity by micro wind turbines on automobiles. These micro wind turbines are located behind the front bumper of the car and an electric circuit in parallel is used to generate electricity. These studies are targeted to possible reduction of fuel consumption in the automotive vehicles using wind-based renewable energy for electrical applications in the cars or other automotive vehicles.

Sandeep Kumar Pudi - Master's Student

Joined Lamar University in 2016 to pursue Masters of Science in Chemical Engineering. Currently working on a thesis under the guidance of Dr. Ramesh K. Guduru (Advisor) and Dr. David L. Cocke (Co-Advisor). My research studies the effects of multivalent ions on electrochemical capacitors of carbon cloth in aqueous electrolyte system. The findings of this research can be useful in the development of effective supercapacitors which will be able to store more energy and while retaining high power density.

Deep Narula - Master's Student

Joined Lamar University in Fall 2015 to pursue M.S. in Mechanical Engineering. Currently working as a research assistant under Dr. Ramesh K. Guduru since summer 2016. My area of research is generation of green electricity from living plants using plant microbial fuel cell with nano-structured current collecting electrodes, the plant used is Spartina Patens which is abundantly available on the coastal regions of USA.

I started studying at Lamar University from Jan 2016 as an international student from India to Pursue M.E.S. in Chemical Engineering. Currently working under Dr. Ramesh Guduru (Main advisor) & Dr. Clayton Jeffery (Co-advisor) as a thesis student. My research area is Production of Bio-Electricity using plants & Storage of electricity using Multivalent Ions. 

I have done my Bachelors in Chemical Engineering from "Dharamsinh Desai University" Nadiad (Gujarat) 2012.

Then, I worked for 3 .5 years as a Process Engineer in Aditya Birla Chemicals (Vilayat) in Chloar -Alkali unit.

Joined lamar University in Fall 2015 to purse Masters in Industrial Engineering. Transferred to Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering and took up thesis project under Dr. Ramesh K. Guduru.  Area of research is “Fabrication of solid state battery also known as a Ceramic battery. Aim is to make a next gen battery with higher efficiency, capacity, durability and a wide range of working temperature.
