X-Plore LUEE

Lamar University and the College of Engineering are proud to announce the second annual x-plore LUEE Summer Camp! Hosted by the Phillip M. Drayer Department of Electrical Engineering, x-plore LUEE is a four-day summer program designed to spark interested in electrical engineering for 7th and 8th grade girls.  Fun activities will demonstrate the various applications of electrical engineering to offer an exciting and informative experience through hands-on and team oriented projects. Activities will revolve around the field of robotics, electronics, communications, and much more!

What: x-plore LUEE is a 4-day summer program designed to spark your middle-schooler's interest in electrical engineering

Who: Girls entering 7th or 8th grade

When: Tuesday, June 12 - Friday, June 14, 2018 from 8:30am (drop off begins at 7:30am) to 3pm daily.

Where:  Activities will be held at Lamar University in the Cherry Engineering Building

Fee: No Fee. Lunch is provided.

How: Prospective x-plorers must submit a recommendation letter from their current math or science teacher in order to apply.


How to Apply

1. Have your child's math/science teacher complete the Teacher Evaluation.

2. Complete the online Application and submit your teacher evaluation with the application.

3. Submit a Photo Release and Health Consent Form to Courtney Arnold via email at carnold4@lamar.edu
